The Trefoil Guild is the guiding section for over 18s. Trefoil is a place where you can give back and give support. Whether this is to your community or causes important to you, supporting your friends and members, or finding support for yourself. Trefoil is all about finding a space for you to be you. Where you can make new friends, try new activities, learn new skills, and support your local community.
Get Involved
Get involved in an exciting programme of activities, learn new skills, or listen to fascinating speakers. We have so much to offer at a local level in Burley in Wharfedale as well as in our wider counties, countries and regions. Trefoil members can also earn badges. There is no requirement to be or have been in guiding previously.
Find Friendship
Whether you already know someone in trefoil or arrive knowing no one you’ll find a ready made circle of friends. Trefoil is open to everyone aged 18 and over regardless of whether they have been involved in guiding. It’s a fantastic opportunity to make new friends both in Burley in Wharfedale and with trefoil members across the UK and overseas.
Get Active
Trefoil members plan their own programme of activities which may involve adventurous activities and traveling abroad. For others the focus could be more on local outings and community events.
Give support
Many trefoil members are keen to give back to their community and charity groups. Some of the charities and organisations our Burley members are involved in include girl guiding, supporting a school in Zimbabwe, cat rescue, homeless, disability charities and the burley summer festival.
The Burley in Wharfedale Trefoil Guild meets the second Monday of the month 6pm -7pm at our Scout and Guide HQ on Peel Place
