Being part of the local community is an important side of Scouting and Guiding in Burley. Here are the planned events for this year
Burley Lights Switch on – 29th Nov
The Guides are pleased to be able to support a cake stall as part of the Christmas market that will be run in the Queens Hall prior to the Christmas lights being switched on. All donations of cakes would be most welcome!
Santa and his elves from Burley Scouts and Guides will be touring Burley very soon, please watch out for them.! They will not be knocking on doors but Santa & the elves would love to see you all, so come out and say hello!
Santa’s Sleigh is Coming to Burley – – Dec 12th-18th
Friday 12th December 6pm to 7pm. Scalebor Park
Sunday 14th December: from 4.30pm – Endor Cres, Holme Grove, Hill Cres, Sandholme Drive, St Michaels Way, Prospect Rd, St Philips, Norwood, Fenton, Lawn and Grangefield
Wednesday 17th December: from 6pm – Sun Lane, Mansfield Rd, Wrexham Rd, Greenhow, Hall Dr, Southfield Rd, Copse, Langford Rd, West View, Aireville Terrace
Thursday 18th December: from 6pm – Midgley Rd, Manse Rd, Station Rd, Long Meadows estate, Main St, Wellfield, Centurion Meadows

Trefoil Guild – 2nd Monday of each month
The Trefoil Guild is the guiding section for over 18s. Trefoil is all about finding a space for you to be you. Where you can make new friends, try new activities, learn new skills, and support your local community. There is no requirement to be or have been in guiding previously. The Burley in Wharfedale Trefoil Guild meets the second Monday of the month 6pm -7pm at our Scout and Guide HQ on Peel Place. email burleytrefoil@gmail.com for more details
