Tickets on sale for Seussical Now

Ilkley Amateur Operatic Society is presenting “Seussical” at the Kings Hall, Ilkley, 7th to 10th March. Tickets cost £15 / £13 concessions. It looks a lively show & some of our youngsters are taking part.
A broadway musical from the year 2000 suitable for all the family with upbeat music, songs and interesting characters. This show is based on the works of Dr Seuss, best known in the UK for its use in reading books for learning, although no appreciation of the books is necessary to watch and enjoy the show.
The story draws primarily on three of Dr Suess’s books; “Horton Hears a Who”, “Horton Hatches and Egg” and “Miss Gertrude McFuzz”. Young JoJo dreams and thinks – helped by the cat in the hat the shows host – conjuring up Horton the elephant in the Jungle of Nool. Horton is a caring soul who saves a planet full of tiny people who live on a speck of dust and he also becomes part of an unusual family!
The show invites us to imagine, dream, dare to be different and care for others.
In exchange for a bit of publicity from the Group, they are offering a donation towards the Hut Appeal.
